Known for providing patients with easy access to comfortable and efficient same-day outpatient surgical services, using the most advanced technology for minimally invasive surgical procedures, the Pacific Specialists’ staff are committed to integrity and compassion. We have worked with Pacific Specialists on their 7,500 Sq. Ft. medical clinic and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) facility’s planning and design needs since 2002. Their most recent ASC expansion project was critical to support their growing medical practice.
Challenges
To prepare planning and design documentation and obtain City of Los Angeles permit approvals within an extremely short timeframe of a few weeks for the construction renovation to occur during the holiday season.
Strategy
With no time for a ‘normal approval’ process to occur, trusting our knowledge and experience of working with the client for the past eighteen years was essential. We prioritized the crucial approvals, and used our best judgement for making fewer decisions that required client approval, all while exercising our creative license to complete the construction documentation expeditiously and submit for City approvals.
Results
The ASC was expanded with the state-of-the-art surgery room, reconfigured clean and soiled rooms, updated recovery and medical assistant areas. The new vibrant color and material palette and added layers of LED illumination supports the medical practice’s expansion, vision and brand.
